F-150 Fitment Details

Bed length and generation coverage

The F-150 has been produced across four generations since SC201/203 was introduced. UnderCover uses a single code pair for the entire F-150 platform:

SC201/SC203 generation coverage for F-150
F-150 GenerationYearsSC201/203 Confirmed?
10th generation2004–2008Yes
11th generation2009–2014Yes
12th generation (aluminium body)2015–2020Yes
13th generation2021–currentYes — includes Lightning EV

Bed length — one code for all three

The F-150 comes in three bed lengths depending on cab configuration:

F-150 bed lengths by cab configuration — all use SC201/203
Cab ConfigBed LengthCorrect Code
Regular Cab8 ft (long bed)SC201 / SC203
SuperCab6.5 ft (standard bed)SC201 / SC203
SuperCrew5.5 ft (short bed)SC201 / SC203

All three use SC201 (driver) and SC203 (passenger). The bracket geometry adapts to the available rail length — on the 5.5 ft bed there is less positioning flexibility, but the same code fits.

F-150 Raptor

The Raptor uses the same bed dimensions and rail geometry as the standard SuperCrew F-150. SC201/SC203 are the correct codes. The Raptor's wider flares are exterior — they do not affect the interior bed rail cap where the bracket mounts.

Maverick Fitment Details

The Maverick (2022+) is a compact unibody pickup with a 4.5 ft bed — significantly shorter and narrower than the F-150. It uses different codes from the F-150; SC207 is the passenger-side code. The driver-side code is not SC206 (that is the Ranger code for 2019–2023) — verify the correct Maverick driver code on UnderCover's fitment tool before ordering.

Maverick-specific notes:

  • Both Hybrid and EcoBoost Maverick variants use the same codes — powertrain does not affect bed fitment; verify codes on UnderCover's fitment tool
  • The 4.5 ft bed is compact; a dual install (driver + passenger) occupies a larger proportion of bed width than on an F-150
  • Maverick bed capacity with a dual SwingCase install: still usable for 4×4 cargo and bicycles, but plan around the wheel-well intrusion

Install Notes Specific to F-150 and Maverick

Spray-in bedliner

The F-150 SuperCrew and many F-150 trims ship with or are dealer-fitted with spray-in bedliners. If your liner covers the bed rail cap surface (the horizontal top face of the inner rail wall), you must remove coating at each of the six screw locations before drilling. Use a rotary tool; remove only the area at each screw diameter. Full detail at the SwingCase install guide.

Bracket placement — F-150 tailgate clearance

For most F-150 configurations, placing the rear mounting screw 6–8 inches from the inside face of the closed tailgate gives full 180° swing clearance. On the 5.5 ft SuperCrew bed, confirm clearance before drilling — less bed length means less positioning margin.

Tonneau cover compatibility

The F-150 is one of the most common tonneau cover platforms. SC201/203 are compatible with most BakFlip, Extang, and soft roll-up covers given the 3-inch clearance rule. Retrax PowertraxONE on certain SuperCrew configurations can be tight — measure before ordering. Full tonneau compatibility guide: SwingCase Tonneau Cover Compatibility Guide →

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the SwingCase fit all F-150 bed lengths?
Yes. SC201 (driver) and SC203 (passenger) fit all F-150 bed lengths — 5.5 ft (SuperCrew), 6.5 ft (SuperCab/standard), and 8 ft (Regular Cab long bed). UnderCover uses one code for the F-150 platform regardless of bed length. The bracket geometry is the same across bed lengths; what changes is how much free rail space you have for positioning.
What is the difference between SC201 and SC206?
SC201 is the F-150 driver-side code (2004–current). SC206 is the Ford Ranger driver-side code (2019–2023) — Ranger 2024+ uses SC209. The Maverick has a shorter, narrower bed (4.5 ft) with different rail geometry — SC201 will not fit a Maverick, and SC206 is also not the Maverick code. Verify the Maverick driver-side code on UnderCover's fitment tool before ordering.
Does the SwingCase fit the F-150 Lightning?
Yes. The F-150 Lightning (2022+) uses the same bed rail geometry as the 13th-generation F-150. SC201 (driver) and SC203 (passenger) are the correct codes. The Lightning has the same 5.5 ft bed as the SuperCrew configuration. Verify on UnderCover's fitment tool using your specific year and bed length to confirm before ordering.
Can I use the same SwingCase on a Maverick as an F-150?
No. The Maverick uses different codes from the F-150 — SC201 and SC203 are F-150-specific and will not align on the Maverick's narrower, shorter bed. SC206 is also incorrect for the Maverick (it is the Ford Ranger 2019–2023 code). Verify the correct Maverick codes on UnderCover's fitment tool before ordering — using the wrong code means returning the full unit.
Does a spray-in bedliner affect SwingCase installation on an F-150?
Yes, if the liner covers the bed rail cap mounting area. Spray-in liners (LINE-X, Rhino Liner) applied to the rail face must be cut at the six screw locations before drilling. The self-tapping screws will not thread through cured liner coating. Use a rotary tool to remove liner at each screw diameter — this takes about 5 minutes and is not difficult, but it is a permanent modification to the liner. Drop-in rubber mats do not cause this issue.
Can I install a SwingCase on both sides of an F-150?
Yes. Order SC201 for the driver side and SC203 for the passenger side — these are two separate products with two separate model codes. Install time roughly doubles (two bracket sets, 12 total screws), but the process is identical on both sides. There is no bundle price; budget for two full-price units ($380–$550 combined at October 2026 pricing). Both mount in the wheel-well area and do not interfere with each other.
